Prototype n Meeting

Hello Team members,
I ve got an idea we can all share which is creating our final prototype on a glass panel which represents our main screen and all other interface can be on transperent sheets,trust me guyz this will be good n simple,also can we all meet up after database lecture,we can meet in the library first floor,I ll bring the glass panel with me today.

I think we need to transcribe our previous work and take some more interviews on how the system should work before making our design.

You all need to start being serious now because it seems like your not taking thing seriously. If your not fully committed then you can ask Serengal to leave the group.

Members of the group have been acting childish over this one presentation you need to grow up, i understand we all have stress and our own problems or your shy, but i don't understand if your being selfish establish the difference you all know who you are. If you want our group to be serious then you need to be serious within yourself. Please take this into consideration.

1) You have to go to your university early in the morning and everybody is out of town and due to come in the afternoon, You need to inform your parents
that they need to pay the gas bill by that day which they are not aware of. In such circumstances what would you do
( note: You cannot contact them through mobile as there is no network coverage)




2) You are studying in a university and living with your parents. Your parents are sleeping and you need to inform them that you would be late from uni as youve got lots of work to finish.
you dont want to disturb them . So you decide to put a note in such circumstances where would you place the note and why?



3)You are living with your family, You have to go ton a friends place to stay overnight and you havent informaed you parents. Your parents have are not presnet at the house and you couldnt call them as you dont have network coverage what would you do in such a situation?

We have come up with 3 type of focus groups,1. Student hostel 2. Family house 3. Shared house.

This is the final interview questions,Please try and do three interviews for each focus group on your own with proves, Meeting at the library first floor 12.00.

1. What kind of accommodation do you currently live at?
2. How many people live in your household?
3. What is age group of the people that live in your household?
4. What platform do you share information between household members?Diary Notes, Calendars ,Pin-board ,Whiteboard, petal-board, refrigerator other
And where do you place it?(Please do not suggest type of platform to them)

5. How do you communicate in your household?
6. Can you give an example?
7. What difficulties do you face using your means of communication

questionnaire made easy ..................

I know most of us had agreed to do questionnaire to help us draw personna but since serangul has said otherwise, i have come up with the following idea.

doing a focus group presenting with our target purpose (see below).

Group title: Luckyseven
Target purpose: Carrying out a research to find out how people living in the same household comminicate.

Possible questions user should be asked to continue to start talking include

Q1) What kind of accommodation do you currently live at?

Q2) how do you normally communicate with your fellow housemates? etc

this type of questions doesnt require designing and some of them will have to be made on the spot during the interview/focus group. we can either record/or note down while the user talks.

so what do you thing guys!

With all members present for the meeting on 28/01/09 1200pm,
We had a succeful group meeting today and I promised to post a blog on our discussions and decission made.
We have decided that every member should go and think about posible questions that we could use for our questionaires and interview.
Presently we have collectively come up with some posible questions:
1. What age group do you belong?
2. What type of House is it?
3. How many people live in your house/apartment/flat/hostel ?
4. What are the age groups of the people that live in your house/apartment/flat/hostel ?
The interview questions that we have identified were:
1. How do you communicate?
2. How often do you communicate?

We have decided that further discussions will be on Luckyseven blog and every member will contribute.
There will also be a meeting during or after the HCI class.
